I have started scanning my dad's slides from Vietnam into the computer. A man who served with dad is going to help me identify who and what they contain. Most of them I have a general idea about, but this one I know the story. Dad stepped on a punji stick. Fortunately, his boots had a steel insert in the sole, but one of them cut into the side of the boot, as you can see here.
