(from Mark Shea)
If you use Twitter, set your location to Tehran & your time zone to GMT +3.30. Iranian security forces are hunting for bloggers using location/timezone searches. The more people at this location, the more of a logjam it creates for forces trying to shut down Iranians' access to the internet. Cut & paste & pass it on.
A fine idea!

fabulous!
Good idea if you have Twitter.
I went and signed up, just to help.
Done. Great idea!
Umm...I'm not sure the internet works that way. It would seem to me to be a very inefficient way to block traffic going in/out of an area.
Why don't they just block all Iranian IP's from accessing Twitter?
Or, if it's that easy to fool them, why don't all Iranians just pretend they're somewhere else?
Dunno if it'll help (per Christina's points), but I just changed mine.
Good idea, but I'd make up a "bogus" account - separate from my other stuff in case these whack jobs try and hack your blog/etc.
